Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche 
The main curator of Vidya Translation Group


Rinpoche is an abbot of Dzogchen Monastery in Tibet, president of the Nalandabodhi organization, and the founder of Nitartha Institute. He is a leading Buddhist scholar and a meditation master. Rinpoche is one of the highest tulkus in the lineage of accomplished masters of Nyingma tradition and he is a Karma Kagyu lineage holder.

Rinpoche has kindly supported Vidya's work by putting our translators in contact with experienced translators from Tibetan who act as the advisors for Vidya Translation Group. 


At present we translate from English into Russian. However, when the key terminology is concerned, we refer to Tibetan and Sanskrit, putting special emphasis on the importance of accurate translation of original key terminology.


Translators and Editors

Alesia Medusheuskaya has a background in art history and has worked as an English-Russian translator since 2009. Alesya started studying and practicing Buddhism in the Nyingma tradition in 2013. She has been volunteering as a translator and editor of Buddhist texts in Russian since 2015. Translator, editor and proofreader.  

Dmitrii Wirth has been studying and practicing Buddhism since 2003. For nine years studied and practiced under the guidance of Nyingma masters of the Longchen Nyingtig lineage in Nepal and India. Translated Introduction to the Middle Way, transcript of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche’s teachings on Chandrakirti’s Madhyamakavatara. Translator, chief editor and project manager.


Sergei Jogov. Economist by education. Studies Buddhism since 2011, and has attended several retreats under the guidance of well-known masters. Follows the teachings of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. 

Sergei has a good command of both Russian and English, and offers thorough critical analysis of translation. Translator and editor.
